Colorado Aquarium Society, Friday, May 19, 2017 !

2017 @ 7:30 at the Bethany Lutheran Church, 4500 E. Hampden Ave. There is no
meeting on May 5th due to scheduling conflicts at the church. Tell
your friends! If you enjoy the aquarium hobby, want to learn more about your
fish and you want to have access to new species and new varieties, join us once
a month for a very fishy experience. Non-members, visitors and
guests are always welcome. No cost to attend. Family friendly. Get Fishy!

Growth contest fish, Odessa barbs, and growth contest plants,
Madagascar Lace Leafs, are due back in for judging.
Our Bowl Show categories for April: 1.Non-native
killifish. All species not native to the US. Shown in pairs or twos with
dividers if needed.
2. Angels. Shown in
pairs. 3. Open class, bring your best to show!

Society, back to normal schedule. July is a picnic, see following.
July picnic is scheduled for
Saturday, July 15th, 2017. Tentative location is 46 Timber Trail, Idaho
Springs, CO 80452 (google map it) (Tory Brown's hide-a-way). Food
at 1:00. RSVP requested so we can plan. I suggest that you
come up early, there are hiking trails, biking trails, horse trails,
off-roading and scenic drives everywhere around the cabin. Hike, come
back to the cabin to eat, rest and go hike again. Child and dog friendly,
bring everyone. Lots of entertainment for the younger set.
Elevation is about 8,800', it will be cool with lots of tall pines for
shade. Large deck for lounging and conversation. If fire
restrictions allow we will have a fire pit going for Samoas The drinking
water is great! Only about 6 miles from Mt. Evans. Nearby Public shooting
range. Only 1 hour drive from SouthEast Denver, mostly paved, last
mile is good gravel road. Make a day of it! Fun in the Mountains!

Each Bowl Show has two pre-determined classes and one open class.
Remember: Only Flat Sided Containers will be accepted.
